Artist statement

Edith Lundebrekke has her background in textile arts, specializing in textile printing and research into dynamic repetition and pattern generation.

It is the understanding and absorption of these techniques and processes and their extension into architectural space and materials that lay the foundation of her current works.

Pattern is fundamentally a modular element that is subjected to repetition to generate a static or variable structure and has an immense tradition in the fields of human craft.
